TIDA Sports, a Chandigarh-based multi-sport training and coaching platform, has raised ₹3 crore in a seed funding round led by Inflection Point Ventures (IPV). The investment will support the company’s expansion into five states and 30 cities, with plans to partner 200 schools and deliver structured sports training to more than one lakh students. The funds will also be directed towards upgrading technology, strengthening B2B operations, onboarding additional coaches, and scaling marketing activities.
Founded with the aim of making professional sports training accessible to young athletes, TIDA Sports works through school partnerships and collaborations with local sports academies. Its model provides access to trained coaches, sports infrastructure, and competitive tournaments. The platform has already organised over 100 tournaments and has trained several athletes who have progressed to state and national-level championships. The company has been recognised by My FM and Times Power Icon for its contribution to sports technology and grassroots development.
Inflection Point Ventures, which has deployed more than ₹800 crore across over 250 startups, said India’s sports ecosystem remains highly fragmented. IPV’s co-founder Ankur Mittal noted that limited access to quality coaching and infrastructure often pushes students away from sports. He highlighted that TIDA Sports is helping address these challenges by building a structured grassroots ecosystem that promotes fitness, discipline, and overall well-being.
Currently, TIDA Sports operates across Uttarakhand, Punjab and Haryana, with centres in cities including Dehradun, Chandigarh tricity, Jalandhar, Ludhiana and Amritsar. Backed by more than 150 academies, it now aims to build a national network of sports development hubs.
Led by CEO Adit Goel alongside co-founders Sumeet Malik, Priyansh Matta and Sanchit Budhiraja, the team brings experience from Thapar University, IIM Calcutta and companies such as Zomato, Dotpe, Aviva India and Standard Chartered. Goel said the new funding will accelerate the mission to impact 10 million young athletes over the next five years.
India’s sports industry is projected to grow from USD 52 billion to USD 130 billion by 2030, with the sports tech segment expected to triple globally. TIDA’s model aims to tap into this momentum by expanding structured sports programmes across tier-1, tier-2 and tier-3 cities.
