SuperYou, the functional food brand co-founded by Bollywood actor Ranveer Singh and entrepreneur Nikunj Biyani, has entered India’s fast-growing protein supplements market with the launch of SuperYou Pro, a range of protein powders powered by bio-fermented yeast technology.

The company, already known for its protein wafers and multigrain chips, says the move represents its next step in reshaping how Indians consume protein.

Fermented protein innovation

At the centre of SuperYou Pro is fermented yeast protein, a technology the company describes as one of the most advanced and scientifically validated forms of protein globally. It is vegan, allergen-free, and delivers 24–27 grams of complete protein with all nine essential amino acids per serving.

With a Protein Digestibility Corrected Amino Acid Score (PDCAAS) of 1.0 – on par with whey – the formulation is designed to offer smoother absorption and superior digestibility.

Nikunj Biyani, co-founder of SuperYou, said the product was developed to bridge gaps in the protein supplements market. “We wanted to create a protein powder that delivers clean nutrition, tastes great and performs even better. SuperYou Pro is exactly that,” he said.

Product range and certification

SuperYou Pro will be available in four variants: Chocolate, Cold Coffee, Masala Chai and an unflavoured option for flexible use. The products are priced at ₹3,000 per kilogram.

The powders are certified by the National Accreditation Board for Testing and Calibration Laboratories (NABL), and quality tested by SGS China and SciEp Australia. Production takes place in a US FDA and GMP-certified facility. The formulations are plant-based, non-GMO, and free from soy, whey and gluten.

Targeting a growing market

India’s protein supplements market has expanded alongside rising health awareness and fitness adoption. SuperYou says it aims to capture 10% of the market within the next 12 months, relying on its existing consumer base and an omnichannel presence that spans e-commerce platforms such as Amazon, Flipkart, Blinkit and Zepto, as well as physical retail chains including Wellness Forever and Ratnadeep.

Ranveer Singh described the launch as a “breakthrough”. “SuperYou Pro brings the best of both worlds – the simplicity of plant-based protein and the performance of whey. It’s the love your muscles deserve,” he said.
