BizDateUp, a Mumbai-based startup ecosystem enabler, has unveiled a new ₹1,000 crore investment fund aimed at supporting high-growth startups, small and medium enterprises, and select real estate ventures. The close-ended Category II Alternative Investment Fund—Pulse Fund I—comprises a base corpus of ₹500 crore and an additional ₹500 crore green-shoe option.
Structured as a 10-year fund, extendable by two years, Pulse Fund I will adopt a diversified allocation strategy: 50% of the corpus will be directed towards emerging startups, 30% towards profitable SMEs, and 20% towards real-estate equity opportunities. The fund will target high-impact sectors including artificial intelligence, SaaS, fintech, deep tech, defence, aerospace, gaming, green energy, EV mobility, and health technology, with a particular focus on founders building from India’s Tier-2 and Tier-3 cities.
BizDateUp says strong governance will remain central to the fund’s approach. Investments will be guided by multi-layered due diligence spanning financial, legal and compliance checks, overseen by an NISM-certified fund manager. Portfolio companies will also receive post-investment support through BizDateUp’s venture studio model, offering assistance in governance, market access and operational compliance to help derisk execution and accelerate scale.
Announcing the fund, Jeet Mukesh Chandan, Group Managing Director, said the initiative reflects a broader ambition to fuel India’s long-term growth. “Pulse Fund I is about backing the builders of the next India,” he said. Group CEO and co-founder Meet Jain added that the strategy combines patient capital with active mentorship to enable sustainable scaling.
The fund has received approval from the Securities and Exchange Board of India and will operate under Category II AIF regulations. BizDateUp is also preparing to expand globally, with plans to launch parallel funds in Singapore, the US and Dubai over the next two years. The firm aims to attract more than $1 billion in global capital to strengthen India’s innovation ecosystem and reinforce its position as a leading investment destination.
