Veteran playback singer Nitin Mukesh and his son, Bollywood actor Neil Nitin Mukesh, have purchased a luxury apartment in Mumbai for ₹11.35 crore, according to property documents filed with the Maharashtra Inspector General of Registration (IGR) and reviewed by property platform Square Yards. The transaction was registered in July 2025.
The apartment is located in World One, a flagship residential tower developed by the Lodha Group in Lower Parel—one of Mumbai’s most sought-after neighbourhoods. The unit has a RERA carpet area of 189.89 sq. m. (around 2,044 sq. ft.) and comes with two dedicated parking spaces. As part of the deal, the buyers paid stamp duty of ₹68.10 lakh and registration charges of ₹30,000.
Lower Parel has emerged as a prime real estate destination, offering proximity to key commercial hubs such as Bandra-Kurla Complex (BKC) and Nariman Point. The district has attracted a steady stream of high-profile buyers in recent years. Property records analysed by Square Yards show that celebrities including Abhishek Bachchan, Shahid Kapoor, author Amish Tripathi and former cricketer Zaheer Khan have also invested in homes in the area.
Nitin Mukesh, known for his distinctive and emotive voice, has been a prominent figure in Indian playback music for decades, with notable contributions to films such as Ram Teri Ganga Maili and Karz. His body of work has earned him recognition as one of Bollywood’s enduring musical talents. His son Neil Nitin Mukesh, who debuted in the mid-2000s, has built a career across mainstream and independent cinema, appearing in films such as Johnny Gaddaar, New York and Players.
The latest purchase underscores the continued appeal of Mumbai’s premium real estate market among Bollywood families, even as property prices in the city’s luxury segment continue to rise.
