MedVital, a healthcare technology startup focusing on advanced wound care and minimally invasive aesthetics, has raised ₹8.4 crore in pre-seed funding, the company said on Thursday.

The round was led by Nihar Parikh’s 4point0 Health Ventures, with participation from operator-investors including founders of Tata 1mg, NephroPlus, SafeExpress, Eye Q Hospital, Hexa Health, and AstroTalk.

MedVital is developing India’s first integrated platform for complex wound care and aesthetic dermatology, addressing critical gaps in access and affordability. The company’s flagship product, NoWound™, is a digitally enabled Negative Pressure Wound Therapy (NPWT) device designed to deliver precision-controlled healing in hospitals, clinics, and home-care settings. Unlike conventional NPWT systems, NoWound is compact, Made-in-India, and suitable for resource-limited environments.

“Skin repair and restoration deserve the same innovation as other critical medical areas,” said Dr. Varun Gupta, Co-founder and CEO of MedVital. “Our goal is to democratize access to advanced wound healing and minimally invasive aesthetics through evidence-based, clinically proven solutions.”

The startup plans to use the funds to expand its product portfolio, strengthen supply chains, and build a distribution network spanning tertiary care hospitals, rural clinics, and home-care settings.

Co-founder and COO Tarun Bansal said the company’s vision is to establish India as a global hub for advanced wound care and skin restoration technologies, focusing on solutions that are both scalable and accessible across healthcare tiers.

India’s healthcare ecosystem faces a rising burden of hard-to-heal wounds, driven by ageing, diabetes, obesity, and trauma, alongside increasing demand for aesthetic procedures. However, systemic limitations have hindered the widespread adoption of advanced skin repair technologies.

“MedVital’s approach to wound management and minimally invasive treatments positions them uniquely in India’s healthcare landscape,” said Nihar Parikh, Founder of 4point0 Health Ventures. “Their science-backed focus on accessibility and measurable clinical outcomes is exactly what the market needs.”

MedVital is also preparing to launch liquid chitosan-based dressings for chronic wounds and expand into dermal and hair regeneration solutions, tapping into new therapeutic and aesthetic care segments.

With a robust clinical roadmap and a focus on innovation, MedVital aims to emerge as a category-defining player in regenerative medicine, leveraging India’s manufacturing and R&D capabilities to serve both domestic and global markets.
