Treebo Hospitality Ventures (THV) has signed a new Mercure hotel in Haridwar’s SIDCUL industrial area under its master franchise partnership with Accor and InterGlobe, marking a significant addition to North India’s fast-growing midscale hospitality segment.
Haridwar, long regarded as one of India’s most sacred cities, has also emerged as a busy commercial hub, supported by the sprawling SIDCUL estate that hosts pharmaceutical, FMCG and engineering companies. The arrival of Mercure is expected to cater to both business travellers working in the region and the steady stream of tourists visiting the city’s spiritual landmarks.
The upcoming Mercure Haridwar SIDCUL will feature 72 rooms, a multi-cuisine restaurant and dedicated event spaces designed for business meetings, social gatherings and MICE requirements. The hotel aims to blend Mercure’s internationally recognised midscale standards with Haridwar’s local character, offering guests professionally managed accommodation rooted in regional authenticity.
India’s mid-market hotel category has seen sustained momentum, driven by economic expansion and rising intercity travel. THV’s partnership with Accor and InterGlobe is positioned to accelerate the rollout of midscale hotels across high-demand locations, with the Haridwar property reflecting a shared ambition to elevate hospitality offerings in emerging commercial centres.
Sidharth Gupta, Co-founder and CEO of THV, said Haridwar’s blend of spiritual tourism and industrial growth made it a strategic fit for the Mercure brand. “The demand for reliable mid-market hotels has never been higher,” he said.
Ranju Alex, CEO of Accor South Asia, described the launch as “an opportunity to tap into SIDCUL’s strong business potential” while promoting Mercure’s focus on localised hospitality.
Avinash Kumar Rai, owner of the asset, said the hotel would support Haridwar’s expanding corporate ecosystem and boost tourism.
THV currently operates more than 800 hotels across 120 cities, supported by a portfolio that spans the economy-to-midscale range and includes its tech platform, Hotel Superhero.
