Indian actress Sushmita Sen’s mother, Subhra Sen, has purchased two high-value apartments in Mumbai’s Goregaon East for a combined ₹16.89 crore, according to property records accessed by real estate portal Square Yards through the Maharashtra Inspector General of Registration (IGR). Both transactions, registered in November 2025, are located in the premium residential project Elysian by Oberoi Realty.
Goregaon East has emerged as one of Mumbai’s fastest-developing neighbourhoods, supported by strong connectivity through the Western Express Highway, the JVLR, and the Goregaon railway station. The locality provides convenient access to key business districts including Andheri, Powai and the Bandra Kurla Complex. It has also become a hub for corporate parks, media houses and IT firms, attracting professionals from across the city. Upcoming infrastructure such as the Goregaon–Mulund Link Road and an expanding metro network is expected to further enhance its appeal. Proximity to Oberoi Mall and Film City has also reinforced its reputation as a well-rounded urban location.
Property Details
The first apartment purchase by Subhra Sen is valued at ₹8.40 crore and includes a RERA carpet area of 163.59 sq. m. (1,760 sq. ft.) along with one parking space. The deal attracted stamp duty of ₹42.02 lakh and registration charges of ₹30,000.
The second transaction, registered in the same tower, is priced at ₹8.49 crore. It features the same carpet area and also includes a parking slot. Stamp duty for this unit amounted to ₹42.49 lakh, in addition to registration fees of ₹30,000.
Data from Square Yards Intelligence shows that Elysian has recorded 172 registered sales worth ₹1,715 crore, with an average price of ₹47,641 per sq. ft.
Subhra Sen, a jewellery designer by profession, is widely known for her artistic craftsmanship and influence on Sushmita Sen’s formative years, having played a central role in nurturing her daughter’s values and creative outlook.
