Adani Logistics Limited has signed a long-term sub-lease agreement with Avenue Supermarts Limited, the company behind the DMart retail chain, for a logistics facility in Maharashtra’s Raigad district, according to property documents accessed by real estate data analytics firm CRE Matrix.

The agreement, executed on 24 December 2025, covers a built-up area of 66,250 square feet located at Dhansar in Panvel, a region that has increasingly attracted large warehousing and distribution players. The lease tenure spans 28 years, underlining Avenue Supermarts’ long-term operational plans for the site.

Under the terms of the sub-lease, Avenue Supermarts will pay an annual rent of ₹20.2 lakh for the facility. While neither company has made a public statement on the transaction, the documents suggest the premises will be used to support the retailer’s supply chain operations in and around the Mumbai metropolitan region.

Avenue Supermarts has been steadily scaling up its logistics and warehousing infrastructure as it expands DMart’s footprint across India. The company operates a value-focused retail model that relies heavily on an efficient backend supply chain, with distribution centres playing a central role in inventory management and cost control.

For Adani Logistics, the deal adds to its growing portfolio of leased logistics assets. The company has been strengthening its presence across key industrial and consumption corridors, benefiting from rising demand for organised warehousing driven by e-commerce, retail expansion and infrastructure-led growth.

Industry experts say the Panvel–Raigad belt has emerged as a strategic logistics hub, supported by its proximity to Mumbai and improving multimodal connectivity. The region benefits from access to major highways, port infrastructure and the upcoming Navi Mumbai International Airport, which is expected to further enhance its attractiveness for large-scale logistics and distribution operations.

As retailers and logistics operators increasingly seek long-term leases to secure critical infrastructure, transactions such as this highlight the growing importance of the Mumbai peripheral markets in India’s evolving supply chain landscape.
