Indian film director and producer Rakesh Roshan, along with his wife Pramila Rakesh Roshan (Pinkie Roshan), has purchased five commercial units in Mumbai’s Andheri East for a combined ₹19.68 crore, according to property documents filed with the Maharashtra Inspector General of Registration (IGR) and reviewed by real estate platform Square Yards. All five transactions were registered in November 2025 and are located within the same building—Vaidya West World One Aeropolis.
Andheri East remains one of Mumbai’s busiest commercial corridors, supported by strong connectivity through the Western Express Highway, metro lines, the airport, and key arterial roads. The area’s concentration of corporate parks, hotels, IT hubs and industrial estates has fuelled sustained demand for commercial real estate, bolstered further by developments such as the Sahar Elevated Road and the expansion of retail centres around Andheri–Kurla Road.
According to registration records, the first unit purchased by Roshan is valued at ₹3.27 crore, with a carpet area of 116.96 sq m and two parking spaces. The deal involved a stamp duty payment of ₹19.64 lakh. The second unit, valued at ₹2.83 crore and measuring 101.17 sq m, also includes two parking spaces and attracted stamp duty of ₹16.98 lakh.
Three additional units were purchased under Pinkie Roshan’s name. The largest, priced at ₹5.28 crore, spans 188.87 sq m, followed by a ₹4.85-crore unit measuring 173.63 sq m, and a ₹3.43-crore unit covering 122.82 sq m. All three transactions included two parking spaces each and standard registration charges of ₹30,000.
Rakesh Roshan is a prominent figure in Hindi cinema, having transitioned from acting in the 1970s to directing several commercially successful films under Filmkraft Productions. His collaborations with son Hrithik Roshan—including Kaho Naa… Pyaar Hai, Koi… Mil Gaya and the Krrish series—remain among Bollywood’s most influential mainstream productions.
