Wipro has appointed Angan Guha as President and Chief Executive Officer of its Americas 2 Strategic Market Unit, with effect from 8 December 2026.

The Indian IT services company announced the appointment on 6 November, saying Guha would be responsible for strengthening its business across banking, financial services and insurance (BFSI), energy and utilities, and manufacturing.

Guha will report to Wipro Chief Executive Officer and Managing Director Srini Pallia and become a member of the company’s executive leadership team.

The appointment comes as Wipro looks to accelerate growth in the Americas, strengthen relationships with existing clients and expand its technology and consulting services in key industries.

Welcoming Guha to the leadership team, Pallia said his experience in business growth, innovation and execution would help strengthen the company’s presence in the region.

Guha said he was pleased to rejoin Wipro at a time when artificial intelligence was creating significant opportunities for businesses.

He said he looked forward to working with the company’s teams to help clients adapt to technological changes, improve business outcomes and make greater use of Wipro’s consulting and technology capabilities.

Guha brings more than three decades of experience in the technology and business services industry, with a background in digital transformation, business development and client management.

Before his latest appointment, he served as Global Chief Executive Officer and Managing Director of Birlasoft.

He previously spent more than 28 years at Wipro, where he held several senior positions, including Chief Executive Officer of the Americas 2 business unit and a place on the company’s leadership team.

He holds a degree in Electronics Engineering from the University of Pune and has completed management programmes at the University of Chicago’s Booth School of Business.

His return marks a leadership appointment aimed at strengthening Wipro’s Americas operations as technology companies seek to capitalise on growing demand for AI-led business transformation.
