Global hospitality company Hilton has announced plans to expand its presence in Hyderabad with the signing of a new Hilton Garden Inn property in Kompally, marking the brand’s first focused-service hotel in the city.
The hotel, named Hilton Garden Inn Hyderabad Kompally, is expected to open in 2028 and is being developed by Fairmount and Friends LLP, part of the Fairmount Group. The project will become Hilton’s third property in Hyderabad, following the recently opened Hilton Hyderabad Genome Valley Resort & Spa and the upcoming Hilton Hyderabad Gachibowli.
The announcement reflects Hilton’s broader expansion strategy in India, where the company says it aims to grow from around 40 operating hotels to more than 400 properties in the coming years.
Hyderabad has emerged as one of India’s fastest-growing business destinations, driven by growth in information technology, life sciences and global capability centres. Industry estimates indicate that the city accounted for nearly half of all new Global Capability Centre establishments in India between 2025 and early 2026.
Located within a mixed-use development in Kompally, the new hotel will feature 96 guest rooms, an all-day dining restaurant and bar, along with more than 10,000 square feet of meeting and event space. The property will also benefit from connectivity to major commercial districts through Hyderabad’s Outer Ring Road.
Hilton executives described Hyderabad as a strategically important market in South Asia, citing rising demand from both business and leisure travellers. The company said its Hilton Garden Inn brand is designed to provide efficient, upscale accommodation with modern amenities aimed at today’s travellers.
Hilton Honors members staying at the property will also have access to the group’s loyalty benefits, including digital check-in and room selection services through the Hilton mobile application.
