Indian companies are stepping up investments in artificial intelligence, digital infrastructure and renewable energy, with a series of new orders highlighting the country’s growing technology and manufacturing ambitions.

Engineering major Larsen & Toubro (L&T) has secured a mega order worth an estimated Rs 100–150 billion to build what is expected to be India’s largest NVIDIA B300 AI factory in Chennai. The facility, being developed in partnership with Together AI, will house around 10,000 GPUs and support large-scale AI training, inference and cloud computing workloads.

The project underlines the rapid expansion of India’s AI infrastructure as businesses and governments seek greater computing capacity to support next-generation applications.

In the transport and logistics sector, RailTel has won a Rs 630 million contract from the Deendayal Port Authority to implement an Integrated Gate Automation System at Kandla. The five-year project will include installation as well as ongoing maintenance, aimed at improving the efficiency of port operations.

Data centre infrastructure is also attracting significant corporate investment. Aurionpro Solutions has secured an order worth nearly Rs 1 billion from a global hyperscaler to develop AI-ready infrastructure for its Navi Mumbai data centre. The contract strengthens the company’s presence in India’s expanding data centre market.

Meanwhile, technology services firm Hexaware and upGrad Enterprise have expanded their partnership to offer global customers AI skilling, Agentic AI training and enterprise transformation programmes. The initiative reflects growing demand for specialised talent as companies move from experimenting with AI to deploying it at scale.

The renewable energy sector is seeing strong order momentum as well. Saatvik Solar Industries, a subsidiary of Saatvik Green Energy, has received a Rs 4.76 billion order from Vikran Engineering to supply solar photovoltaic modules. The project is scheduled for execution by March 2027.
