Cybersecurity startup Zaperon has raised ₹7 crore in a seed funding round led by Inflection Point Ventures (IPV), as the company looks to expand its security offerings for enterprises adopting artificial intelligence.

The startup said it will use the fresh capital to strengthen its product capabilities, develop enterprise-grade AI security frameworks and expand its presence in India and the US.

Founded in 2021 by Vineet Gupta and Sachin Aggarwal, Zaperon is building a unified cybersecurity platform aimed at securing both human and non-human identities, including AI agents, while controlling their access to enterprise data and cloud infrastructure.

The platform brings identity security, data security and AI governance together, allowing enterprises to manage access through a single set of identity- and context-based controls.

Zaperon currently serves companies across sectors including banking and financial services, healthcare, manufacturing, technology and government. The company has also been recognised by Nasscom and the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology (MeitY) among innovative cybersecurity products.

“As enterprises move from experimenting with AI to deploying AI agents across critical workflows, securing the identities, access, and data associated with these systems is becoming increasingly important,” said Minal Shah, Principal – Southeast Asia, IPV.

Gupta, who is also Zaperon’s co-founder and CEO, said the company’s focus is to build a global cybersecurity platform capable of protecting enterprises from data breaches involving both human and non-human identities.

According to Zaperon, the convergence of identity and data security represents a global market opportunity estimated at $16 billion currently, which could reach $35 billion by 2030. The company expects the adoption of AI agents and growing risks around non-human identities to drive demand.

IPV has invested more than ₹900 crore across over 280 startups, with the investment firm backing 16 startups during the first quarter of 2026.

Zaperon said the latest funding will support its next phase of product development and international expansion.
