This first-mover initiative marks the entry of foreign exchange retail into the fast-growing quick commerce ecosystem.
Convenience meets compliance
The service has been rolled out in Delhi, Bengaluru and Mumbai, with plans for phased expansion into other key travel markets. Customers can now order Thomas Cook’s forex cards through Blinkit, receive them within minutes, and complete the remaining regulatory processes—including Video KYC and card loading—handled seamlessly by Thomas Cook India’s dedicated forex team. The entire process ensures that customers are travel-ready in less than an hour.
Each delivery comes with clear activation guidelines, access to a secure customer portal and support via a dedicated helpline, ensuring a smooth and compliant experience.
Riding the quick commerce wave
The move reflects Thomas Cook India’s effort to align with evolving consumer expectations for speed and digital-first experiences. Quick commerce, once limited to groceries and daily essentials, has seen explosive growth—rising from $300 million in 2022 to $7.1 billion in FY25, with projections of $35 billion by 2030.

Varma added that the initiative complements Thomas Cook’s Ghar Pe Forex doorstep delivery service and digital solutions on WhatsApp, Google Pay and TC Pay, reinforcing its positioning as India Ka Forex Specialist.

Ordering a Thomas Cook forex card on Blinkit involves three simple steps:
Place the order on Blinkit and receive the Borderless Travel or Study Buddy card at home.
Share KYC documents and complete payment via a secure Thomas Cook link.
Complete the Video KYC, after which the card is instantly loaded for use.
