Cohoma Coffee, a Delhi-based speciality coffee roaster and machine manufacturer, has raised ₹5 crore in a seed funding round led by Inflection Point Ventures and Swishin VC.
The company, founded in 2019 by Paritosh and Kanika Birla, aims to make high-quality speciality coffee accessible and convenient for consumers at home, in offices, hospitality venues, and on the go.
The fresh capital will be used to scale up manufacturing capabilities and accelerate international expansion.Cohoma offers what it claims is one of India’s widest ranges of equipment-free specialty coffee products, including naturally flavoured brews with no added sugar or preservatives that can be prepared in under a minute. It also manufactures super-automatic coffee machines for the hospitality and corporate sectors.
The brand operates an integrated model, handling everything from sourcing beans from India, Africa, and South America to roasting and machine production.Commenting on the investment, Vinay Bansal, Founder & CEO of Inflection Point Ventures, said: “Cohoma Coffee has built a differentiated brand in India’s fast-growing specialty coffee market by managing the entire experience end-to-end. Their equipment-free brewing range and naturally flavoured coffees address a clear consumer need for convenience without compromising on quality.
”Kanika Birla, Co-founder, added: “Our mission has always been to make high-quality specialty coffee accessible without the usual complexity. This investment will help us enhance manufacturing and expand internationally while maintaining focus on delivering the perfect cup.”The Indian coffee market is currently valued at over $2 billion and is growing at 12-14% annually, driven by younger consumers and a shift towards premium roasted coffee.
Industry observers expect the roasted segment to become the largest by 2030.Cohoma has built a strong omnichannel presence across retail, e-commerce, and B2B partnerships, with a reported customer repeat rate of over 90%. It is already present in premium chains such as Nature’s Basket and Le Marche.
