Hilton has appointed hospitality industry veteran Abhiram Menon as Cluster General Manager of Hilton and Hilton Garden Inn Bengaluru Embassy TechVillage on the city’s Outer Ring Road (ORR).
Menon will oversee the operations of the 529-room dual-branded complex, which includes 37,000 sq ft of banquet space and four food and beverage outlets. The property also features a temperature-controlled swimming pool, yoga deck, gym and spa.
In his new role, Menon will focus on operational performance, commercial growth and guest experience, while strengthening the hotels’ position in Bengaluru’s corporate travel, meetings, incentives, conferences and exhibitions (MICE), events and dining segments.
“With no significant new hospitality development on ORR in nearly a decade, this integrated complex presents a compelling one-stop destination for corporate travellers, MICE and events, as well as residents from the surrounding communities,” Menon said.
He added that his focus would be on building on the property’s existing strengths, improving guest experiences and delivering sustained operational and commercial performance.
Menon brings more than two decades of experience in the hospitality industry, with expertise spanning hotel operations, food and beverage, commercial strategy and guest experience.
Before taking up his latest position, he served as General Manager of Hilton Bangalore Embassy GolfLinks. He has also held senior leadership roles at Lemon Tree Hotels and Indian Hotels Company (IHCL).
In 2022, Menon was named Hotelier India’s General Manager of the Year in the Midscale to Upscale category.
He has completed leadership and business management programmes at Harvard and holds a postgraduate diploma in business administration in Sales and Marketing, along with a bachelor’s degree in hotel management.
The appointment comes as Bengaluru’s hospitality market continues to benefit from the city’s expanding corporate ecosystem and demand from business travellers, events and large-scale meetings. Hilton said Menon’s experience would support the continued growth and positioning of the two properties in one of the city’s key business corridors.
