Indian actor, director and screenplay writer Aatish Kapadia and his wife Alison Kapadia have purchased a luxury apartment in Mumbai’s Goregaon suburb for Rs 15.31 crore, according to property registration documents reviewed by real estate platform Square Yards.

The deal, registered in June 2025, includes an apartment in ‘Elysian by Oberoi Realty’ with a RERA carpet area of approximately 281.5 sq. m. (3,030 sq. ft.) and three car parking slots. The transaction attracted a stamp duty of Rs 91.86 lakh and registration fees of Rs 30,000, filings from the Inspector General of Registration (IGR) Maharashtra showed.

Elysian by Oberoi Realty has emerged as one of the more sought-after residential projects in Goregaon, recording 116 sale registrations worth Rs 1,035 crore between April 2024 and March 2025, according to Square Yards Data Intelligence. The average price in the development stands at around Rs 50,869 per sq. ft., reflecting the continued strength of Mumbai’s premium residential segment despite macroeconomic headwinds.

Located in western Mumbai, Goregaon has grown into a key residential and commercial hub over the past decade. Well-connected via the Western Express Highway, SV Road and Goregaon railway station, the area offers easy access to business centres in Andheri, Malad, and the Bandra Kurla Complex (BKC). The locality is also known for housing film studios and production houses, making it popular with professionals from the entertainment industry.

Recent infrastructure upgrades like the Goregaon-Mulund Link Road and proximity to major shopping centres such as Inorbit Mall and Infiniti Mall have further boosted Goregaon’s appeal, transforming it into a dynamic urban micro-market offering a blend of convenience, connectivity and modern amenities.

Aatish Kapadia is widely recognised for his contribution to Hindi television and films as an actor, director and screenplay writer. He is best known for creating and writing popular TV series such as Khichdi (2002–2018), Wagle Ki Duniya (2021–2025), Pushpa Impossible (2022–2025), and Happy Family Conditions Apply (2023). Kapadia also co-founded Hats Off Productions, which has produced several hit shows including Baa Bahoo Aur Baby and Khichdi.
